I've got an idea. Let's stop trying to save the worst 6 year coach in the history of the game at the detriment of our whole club.

Kind of book ends Buckley's reign as Coll coach, really. Another injury to another star.

Funny isn't it - if we were making an bonafide charge to the eight right now, we'd all be spitting blood with the loss of Pendles.
But because we ain't, we just say yeah chuck him in cotton wool for the remainder of 2017.
I reckon we will lose probably at least one player each round between now and the rest of the season, to go into mothballs for 2017.

We should really run a book on it; i'll nominate in this order:

Rnd. 18: Wells
Rnd. 19: Reid/Goldsack
Rnd. 20: Treloar/Howe
Rnd. 21: Varcoe/Elliott
Rnd. 22: Grundy/Moore
Rnd. 23: irrelevant now.

Gee I jinxed us good and proper didn't I? But hey, it's what I do best.
So of the two players nominated by myself last week, their lucky numbers of course came up, just in the wrong rounds ... *sigh*

BTW: Great pass to Elliott, Wells; that only cost us Varcoe.
Aren't we f*cking paying you to kick those goals from the pocket anyway?

Don't see Pendles wanting cotton wool finish to 2017

He may well be joined by Varcoe with dislocated elbow
and bad concussion

Pendles has undergone more surgery on his broken finger and faces up to another three weeks on the sidelines.
