Kicks.

I reckon.bucks just wanted players uglier than him. Hence Mayne and Hoskin Elliot.

The berg had another quiet game I see. 41 disposals and 145 DT points.
Did they give him an extended run thru the midfield yesterday, Batdog? I can't believe he's racking up those sort of numbers playing in defense.

As always, thanks for the reports. Much appreciated.

He was again confined to half back.

Looking at the team stats (which you can find on the Footy Live app), we over-possessed the ball something chronic (again), which like the rising tide inflated all the boats a little.

Nevertheless, it's not 'Berg's fault they seem to be under instruction to use him at all times...

Kirby keeps on kicking goals each week. I realize Kirby is still developing, in your view MB is Kirby any realistic chance of getting a game soon? (I'm happy to be patient & let him continue to develop)

Additionally if I may ask, how is Josh Thomas going? I thought he started to make a difference before he was busted.

Again, I expect more from Mayne. 12 disposals and no score is simply not good enough. More marks, more tackles, more goals please.

Daicos only 2 disposals? How much game time did he miss?

Kirby with 3 goals is encouraging. Only the 13 touches, but at least he hit the score board. (I think he'll be considered for an opportunity soon). Brown will also be up for an opportunity soon if he keeps it up.

Sier getting some of the pill, but missing 2 goals. Im looking for him to have a bigger impact soon.

Keeffe and Thomas with very good games. Dont think either can get into the AFL squad tho.

And to answer my own question, Langdon looks to have had a great match with 34 touches. If he backs that up, he might get a call up. But does he get in before Scharenberg?

Ramsay and Broomhead look to have had big games too, but I dont think either should be considered for AFL selection until they show this form for a few more weeks.

Obviously the Berg was the Pies best again. You'd have to think this week is his week to get in? I just hope the AFL side use him properly.

With Aish coming out injured and Fasolo possibly dropped, there's a chance for some of these guys this week. Will look forward to Thursday night when the team is named.

Although this was a loss, I am rather pleased with most of our AFL listed players. (But I'm only looking at the stats).

What I mean is that they'll both be unable to get into the seniors.

I lean towards a "no" at this stage.

He kicks goals alright, but even so, he's still only averaging 2 a game this year. He also has trouble breaking through the 10-12 disposal mark. That's not too bad for a 1st year forward pocket (and one who it seems they're targeting as much as possible when entering the 50), but that game doesn't translate well to AFL level, with all of its 'up-and-back' running. Right now, he's a lead and mark small, with a mean run-down tackle.

I'm happy to give him time down at this level. Maybe in the back end of the year...

As for JT, he's had a reasonable 2 or 3 weeks, finding a lot more of the pill. But he's still the butcher by foot that he's always been. He's just depth, in my view.

So that was the equivalent of a 16-disposal game from a small forward if he'd made it through the whole game? Surely he should have come up to play AFL on the back of that?

Mayne seemed to play up the ground more last week as a high half forward/wing. Done one or two nice things (his experience helped), but still should be doing more before he's recalled.
