Okay kids, what's going on with this bloke, Jack Fitzpatrick?

Just posted of AFL website:

Quote:
Ruck/forward Fitzpatrick played three games for the Hawks this year round 23 and both finals - after 22 with Melbourne before that.
He kicked one of the goals of the season on debut against Collingwood in the dying minutes after winning the centre clearance and bombing a long goal from outside 50 metes, a goal that ended up securing Hawthorn the double chance entering the finals.

There's our 2nd string ruckman to replace Witts.
And we know he can kick; probably better than Brown, Frost and Williams.

But I can't understand him getting delisted after Ceglar went down with the ACL?
Even allowing for Vickery to play the Hale-role, relieving McEvoy, it seems strange that Fitzy was cut under these circumstances?

Thoughts peeps?

Has skills. Kicked the winning goal in the final moments of our last game against the 2peats + 1. He would be a useful addition IMO.

Apart from kicking a lucky goal against us what else did he do in the 3 games he played?

He was soundly beaten in each game, next!

Yep, handy number 4 ruck behind Grundy, Cox and White.

Type of player who would be willing to be that far down in the depth chart too.

Definitely need a ruck of some sort, cant say he inspires me, but dont know enough of him to make a judgement call.

Will Minson for mine.

There has to be someone out there but Dekka would have this covered probs thru PSD

Agree, very limited player, who was delisted by Melbourne and now by Hawthorn. The only decent thing that he did as a player was kick that goal against us in round 23, which I reckon if he tried another 99 times that he wouldn't kick it again.

Dekka will have someone up his sleeve that is far better than Fitzpatrick will ever be.

If we're looking at delisted hawks, Spangher or Litherland are much better options.

Want to hear a funny story.

I had a bet during the last round of the AFL this year.

I went with a multi bet on two games at the TAB.

Firstly, Collingwood to beat Hawthorn and then Fremantle to beat Western Bulldogs. Both games would be the last two games of the regular AFL season on the Sunday and a short waiting time for the result was on the cards.

I just knew Freo would beat the Bulldogs in Perth as it was Pavs last game and after they were pathetic in his 350th a couple of games earlier against the Swans in Perth, I knew they would win it for him in his last AFL game ever.

I also thought we would try our utmost to beat the Hawks to cause any sort of obstacle possible so as to make things difficult from Fourthorn occurring and to protect "The Machine" team record of 4 consecutive premierships.

That was my wild reasoning.

I put down a lazy hundred as you do.  It was paying $9.99 for the multi.

I absolutely go crazy as I assume you all did as well when Treloar puts us in front with a couple of minutes remaining.

Im thinking Im half way to $999.

Then dunderklumpen (with no disrespect) who was delisted by Melbourne and playing his FIRST, I repeat his FIRST game for Hawthorn runs out of the centre and just boots it forward as hard as he can and it goes forever and bounces in for a goal to level the scores. They go on to score a point and win the game.

Dont get me started on two players who have since now left Collingwood who cost us goals in this game by their usual bad kicking (good luck to both, though).

Fremantle go on to beat the Bulldogs. Pav gets carried off a champion of the game.

Ill never forget Jack Fitzpatrick . EVER!

Im off to my therapist now.

Seriously though, good luck to him.

ps. Please remember to gamble responsibly.
