I often ask myself if I'm using Nicks wrongly?

I might have to start a poll.

We could do worse than plonk him at CHF and as WL said, protect Mr Darcy for a couple of years. Dawes was never really a typical forward, he was an interesting link man with decent awareness and reasonable accuracy when goalkicking. I think he could offer something.

Agreed. Even as insurance. He'd play more vfl footy than afl but he's experienced and smart and a great team player

Okay, look - if no other club takes him, then yes grab him with pick 105 or some shit. If he understands he will most likely play VFL in 2017, barring another bubonic plague of injuries to the seniors, and accepts that reality, then all good in da hood.

Gollybollyblimpblombs dont jinxus! Bubonic bloody plague, arrrghhh

I always thought he had problems seeing the ball. Off field he wears glasses, so he is obviously visually impaired. On the ground he regularly dropped chest marks and rarely took a mark above his head. Nice guy and an OK player, but not really good enough for senior football imo.

I always believed this as well. Always tried hard, I remember him chasing some midfielder half way down the ground once, was never ever going to catch him but he still chased regardless (never saw Cloke do this), but his inability to regularly take overhead marks when he was in the right spot was frustrating. For all the money we (and Melbourne) have, I would have thought an eye operation to fix whatever is the problem would have been a priority.
My greatest memory was his goal in the 2010 replay when he hacked it out of the air (even though he had just dropped the mark haha).

IF Harry survives it will be a minor miracle for him, he has done very little of benefit for the Deeeees.

Being their best former Collingwood player isn't of benefit then? Very Happy

IF, and I know its a big if, if Harry could get his brain into gear, and knuckle down hard, id have him back at the PIes. I like him, and he had real flair as a player, but I know I am drawing a long bow on this now.

Cool
