What happens now? Back to the Conservatives? Leaving politics all together?

He's been a brilliant leader for UKIP and with Brexit occurring now, maybe he's achieved everything he wanted to achieve.

Achieved his goals and wants to get a real job rather than being a career politician.

Alternatively, like a rat off a sinking ship.

What ship is that? He's an MEP, so yeah jumping off the sinking EU isn't a bad idea.

Er, the UK. Laughing

It is interesting to see eurosceptics like Johnson and Farage heading for the hills in what should be their crowning moment of glory. It does look suspiciously like a case of morning after remorse.

It's Farage's crowning acheievement. He didn't want to be a politician, he wanted the UK independent of Europe. I fear you're speaking from ignorance here David.

Boris I'll give you, he's looking more and more like a spineless twat or someone who didn't REALLY want what he said he wanted and was playing politics that have blown up in his face.

Nope, professional complainers.... now there's actually some serious work to be done they run a mile, they will however, give plenty of advice from the sidelines.

It's the problem with having ONE popular and competent person who doesn't really want the job. I can't see the party doing much without Farage as leader, not sure he wants to deal with the death threats and stress on his family though.

He keeps trying to get away and they keep pulling him back in Laughing

Like any minor party revolving around a dominant figure, it's hard for a party to progress when the leader decides they've had enough. The Greens have done remarkably well in Bob Brown's absence, but they're perhaps an exception – UKIP are probably going to struggle now that their main program has been achieved, much as One Nation Mk1 did.

Don Chip and the Democrats. Same story.

The Greens nearly stuffed it up by putting in an unappealing leader to replace Brown, but have corrected the error now and are very much on the way back. They still need to get rid of one or two ratbags from the NSW branch, but are heading in the right direction.
