Sports broadcaster Rebecca Wilson, who died in Sydney overnight from breast cancer at age 54, is being remembered as a courageous and accomplished journalist.

Wilson was an award-winning sports reporter for News Corp newspapers the Daily Telegraph and the Sunday Telegraph, as well as a panellist on Sky News.

She appeared on several ABC programs including Offsiders and worked as a commentator during several Olympic Games.
