Nevertheless, I intend to keep on correcting people's English until I have caused the rest of the world confusion, consternation, and correction equal to that which I have undergone myself. The Grand Plan is well on track and proceeding smoothly. I expect to achieve this goal on time and on budget. Roll on May 2317! |

Footscray got the best out of themselves by playing a lot like Footscray, Sydney by playing a lot like Sydney and the Hawks by playing a lot like the Hawks.

I dunno, most teams including the Dogs, contest and spread like the 2001-03 Lions, handball through the zone like 2007-11 Cats, have intercepting zones like the 2008-2016 Hawks and forward press like the 2010 Pies. How well they do it depends on their skills and commitment. We even regularly get Pagan's paddock occasionally but its a forward cheating rather than Carey one out.
For that matter i remember the 80s Hawks being described as running in waves forward, the 90s Eagles not being reliant on a ruckman rather a team of ruck rovers. 70s and 80s Carlton midfield ran pretty deep as well. Oh and throw in the Terry Wallace dogs uberflood for good measure as well. _________________ Get back on top. |

Would be great if we could get the Suns to stump up something a tad earlier such as either:
* 21 OR
* 22
Maybe package Blair in and we could ask for pick 8! |
Package Blair in and we will be lucky to get a 4th round. Let's keep Blair right out of it! _________________ Buon Giorno |

Guys, dunno about that SECOND BEST/to imitate is to flatter ideology.
What happened to the popular theory of observing another successful company's business template, and copying it to see if your staff can make it deliver the same results? _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

piedys every business executive understands that delivering 'comparable' results is not acceptable.
If you are not outperforming your opposition, you are simply going backwards. |

... or the Chinese (Japanese?) story about observing how the West would do something, learning how to copy it, then doing it better for cheaper |

It's called research. You look at what others are doing, including other codes, look closely at your list (or staff) and their capabilities and either come up with something that could work with your teams capabilities or come up with something that will work and replace your team with people who can do what you want.
The old Quality cycle is also relevant, continuous improvement. If you put in place a 3 year plan to get to where the best are in 3 years, in 3 years time you're still crap even though you've improved because they have improved too. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
