Monaco hit the nail fare and square. We need a forward who can stay on the park. Our current mob are injury prone and it's breaking this club. And what more better way is there to test our current training program because if he gets a soft tissue, well serious questions will need to be answered if they haven't already.

There is no way the club would consider recruiting a 38 year old player. It's laughable.

I was initially going to post this as a topic, but had second thoughts, however, having read some of the replies here, some that are surprising to say the least,I think the idea has merit as Blair, could be replaced by Harvey and not only would we gain a mentor for the younger players, although I expect to see our full team playing uninjured next year and there won't be as many youngsters playing,we would gain a "One Touch" player, who rarely fumbles and kicks ,on average, nearly 2 goals a game,is as quick as anyone going around,is supremely fit ,not prone to injury and if we look at the facts in the light of day, there is no one on our list, banging the door down to replace Blair, Broomhead included, and I reckon it has merit and he would fit nicely.Worth a look in my book.

Having seen Boomer in action at a training session at local level I would grab him as part of the coaching group not as a player. Great communicator with players and the players listen.

Looking at him in a coaching role is a different discussion. That I wouldn't mind.

Coz its not like the Hawks have had any success taking mature players to fill a role for 1-2 years...

(Agreed - none quite as mature as Harvey)

ON tonights News, they spoke to Bucks, only Bucks, on Boomer now thinking of a new club, and he said a club would be remiss not too at least consider it. Make of that what you will.

Yep, if Devoran can break Harvey, then we have bonafide problems...

Question without notice, why is our forward line so fragile, and why do they keep getting injured time after time ?? Do we change the whole fitness dept and training, something does not gell for sure. Least Boomer is as tough as an old desert boot, hardly ever gets injured, truly a freak of football.

Now I'm not 100% for this.. but honestly if Bucks must make finals next year to keep his job and he can get Harvey cheap, he'd be a fool not too.

If the price is right why not? There are plenty of speculative positions on our list as is, surely one could be freed up for Boomer

What I'd really like to see is the games oldest player in the leagues youngest (on average ) team....could be heading that way if we loose too much more experience

If we don't go for Harvey we are plain stupid. Absolute champion and mentor.

I have a theory that Brad Scott will move to coach Brisbane and take all four north players with him, to rebuild the Lions.
