Before this series, the Aussie middle order of Smith and Voges was the best going around, with Test averages of close to 60 and close to 95.

Never wanted to include Smith in my issues with the middle order.
But Voges didn't do that well in England.
Made centuries against lesser teams.
His batting average was highly inflated against these teams.
But he did have a purple patch.
Not proven to be any good in sourh asia, england or south africa yet.
Need a better wicket keeper / batsman.
We have Smith, Warner and Starc as world class.
Daylight to the rest.
