Jason Day, John Senden and Scott Hend are all on 2 under after the first round.

American, Jimmy Walker leads, on -5.

Aaron Baddeley and Adam Scott are even par.

Marcus Fraser and Marc Leishman are on +1.

Senden is even par, through 16 holes. -2 overall.

Leishman is 1 under today, after 11 holes. Even, overall.

Americans, Spieth, Reed and Simpson are making moves. Today, Spieth and Reed are 4 under. Simpson -3.

Walker is still leading, on -5. Hasn't hit off yet.

Jason Day hit a 65 - 5 under - to be 7 under and just 2 behind the leaders, Walker and Streb.

Adam Scott is also in contention, after a 3 under 67. -3 overall.

John Senden (-2), Scott Hend (-2), Marcus Fraser (-1), Marc Leishman (even), Aaron Badderley (even) and Matt Jones (+2) all made the cut.

Early going yet, but Badderley and Leishman have had a birdie each to be -1 today and -1 overall.

Matt Jones hit a par 70 to be +2.

Rain. Play called off. Jason Day yet to hit off.

Leishman -3 after 17 holes.

Senden and Scott also -3.

Fraser and Hend -2.

Baddeley is +1 after rounds of 70, 70 and 71.

Jones hit a par 70 to be +2.

Leishman is still there. A 67 sees him on -3.

John Senden is 1 under through 12 holes. -3 overall.

Day has hit the lead !!

He's 9 under after 2 birdies in the last 3 holes.

He leads by 2 strokes from 4 others.

What a finish.

Jason Day finished with an eagle but lost by 1 stroke to the first round leader, Jimmy Walker.

Walker was 14 under.

Best of the other Aussies were Senden and Scott, on -5.
