Actually, you're wrong....again...
The claim was
you go through history, no coach in the entire history of the VFL/AFL has been given longer in his position witkh diminishing returns each year than Nathan Buckley.
Even Joyce didn't retain his position. A hawthorn sacked him after 3 consecutive years.
Buckley is alone is coaching craptitude. He is the only coach to coach the same team for five years, getting worse and worse and not being sacked. |

| The numbers you put up have Joyce in decline for more years than Buckley has coached. Or do you think he did a better job because he stuffed up 2 clubs in a row? |

Firstly, the years were not successive. Joyce coached in 1989 and then again in 1992.
Secondly, Hawthorn sacked him after 3 years of successive decline and the Bulldogs after 2.5.
We have stuck with Buckley's decline for 4.5 years, which is a record in VFL / AFL.

| 1991 to 1995 look like consecutive years to me. I seem to remember them as being consecutive at the time, too. |
