This will all change in coming weeks. Danger & Selwood 1&2! Did they play today? Selwood has done very well though, to get to number 2 when he's a shit player! I guess Frees count a lot! Levi should get votes for a great job though. How has Howe missed out so completely? He's been among our best and racking up big FF scores. Really shows AFL coaches aren't nearly as smart as their pay grade would indicate!

Heater had a big one against the Bulldogs. 170 AF points.

Coniglio and Ward both had 135+ AF point games. Bontempelli could get minor votes.

Of the leaders, Dangerfield and Hannebery will be in the votes.

For us, Pendles had most disposals but, uncharacteristically, a low efficiency rate. Howe, Treloar and Reid will be thereabouts.

Funny thing in the nicks votes Sidebottom was placed highly and a lot of posters didn't have Howe getting votes shows how coaches see players compared to posters
I actually thought Howe and Reid were our best 2 that day followed by Pendles

^^^ You might need to go back to the Gavin Brown Medal thread containing the votes for the game and redo them - they presently say:

Razz

The coaches' votes are often more fickle than the Nick's ones and they always need to be viewed with a degree of caution. In this game, eg, the 2 agreed that Wood and Howe were best and 2nd-best on ground respectively, and they agreed that Dahlaus was good (one gave him 2 votes and the other 3). They then parted ways and gave 4 different players a 3, a 2 and their two 1s. We don't know which coach gave which votes and it is quite possible that one coach gave his 3 to Pendlebury and his 1 to Reid - if that's the case, we could have no idea at all from the votes as cast what the other coach thought about Collingwood's best players, save that we know both coaches thought Howe was Collingwood's best. The only alternative is, of course, that one coach voted for Pendlebury and the other coach voted for Reid as their second-best Collingwood player (in which case, we know nothing at all about who either of them thought the 3rd to 5th-best Collingwood players were). Whichever is the case, three things we can be certain of are that: (1) they both agreed that Howe played well; (2) they disagreed about the quality of Pendlebury's and Reid's games; and (3) they did not express any joint view at all about who they thought were Collingwood's best three players.
