In a scary thought, 48% of Australians get their news from Facebook.

I pretty much get most of mine from there, I don't bother with the news, or newspapers unless I am handed The Mercury when dad buys it and read the sports section if there's a story he was talking about.

There are stories I go and read when they have peaked my interest though there's way too much click bait going on these days for me to even care about the news other than sport even those publications are pretty click bait now.

Some years ago in Sydney, the Daily Telegraph had a slogan 'It's amazing what a Telegraph reader can tell you'. To which it was said 'it's amazing a Telegraph reader can read at all' Laughing
