Had a suspicious growth on my hand treated with liquid nitrogen today, quite likely a skin cancer, but no point checking according to the Dr, just burn it with ice.

If it grows back he said he'll cut it out. Not really emotionally effected by the chance of skin cancer, pretty much everyone (male) in my family has had it before they reach 40, have to keep the tradition alive I suppose.

A decent sized font on the labels would help!

OMG yes! I need to carry a um, thingy, the word escapes me, I've often resorted to saying "your young and your eyes still work, is that 85 calories or 850?"

Quality people are the bane of my life. I feel your pain.

For mine, ignorant tradies, specifically a plumber (sorry Skids) pissed me off.

I want a new dunny and handbasin put in the room I renovated. New sewerage connections were done when I extended the house bout 10 years ago so the pipes are hanging from the floor joists. House is on stumps, just got to connect to the pipes and run about 6 metres in a straight line. No digging, just a bit of crawling under the house.

Anyway, Saturday I get online and decide to do the right thing and go local. Pick a local mob, family business, got a website, so I ring the mobile number and speak to a bloke.

Give him the rundown, say I want a quote. He says no troubles, can I send him a text with the address and details and he can come Monday. I say to him I work (funny thing that) so I won't be home til 6pm is that OK? He hesitates but says yep, that's good, be there around 6.

So 7pm Monday, no show. Flick him a text asking what time roughly should I expect him, get one back apologising saying he's had a sudden emergency and will come around tomorrow arvo. Again, I say to make it after 6pm if that's OK.

Tuesday night, no show. No text, no call, no fkn anything.

Poor fkn form. Don't agree to do something if it doesn't work for you. If you're chock full of work, then just tell me that. If you said you're flat stick and wouldn't be able to do the install until the new year, I'd go elsewhere but would give you a recommendation for being up front.

Just no showing with no contact, far kew and the shit cart you rode in on.

Continued in the What made me happy thread.

Unfortunately it works both ways Stui, I went to a quote tonight at 5.30, and guess what? The damn customer wasn't there. I went out of my way to be there after hours for a free quote. Rang him, he says he'll be another 30 minutes. Well, he and go and get xxxxxxx.

Yeah, I get that. If I make a time to meet, I keep it. If I'm running late I ring, I expect the same courtesy back.

You go out of your way to meet at a time and they aren't there, fuckem.

Yep, drives me nuts. So rude. People seem to think you can send a couple of pics and they will quote off of that. Lazy, rude! I have no faith! That's why I don't call repair men if I can help it. That's why my oven is at the shop! Luckily we have a plumber and an electrician as friends!
