As we know, the poor kid's going to miss next season.

And it's hard to say what kind of impact he could have made as it was still not clear if he was in the best 22 yet. (Personally, I had him in out best 22, coming off the bench).

So my question is, how will the club cover the loss of a senior player?

Perhaps I should have asked this last night, but the club went in with 5 picks and used 4.

Do we:
-Promote Gault in the hope that Reid is healthy and plays down back?
-Go straight for the best available free agent? (Possibly Adcock as mentioned in another thread).
-Do something completely spaz and talk Jared Rivers out of retirement. Shocked
-Simply cop it on the chin and move on with the group we have down back.

Or do you think the club addressed the issue in yesterdays draft?

We have plenty of coverage in that position....

Langdon
Oxley
Ramsay
Maynard
Toovey
Williams
Pendlebury - yes, he'll play HBF a fair bit in 2016

I'm probably forgetting a couple too, but we have enough HBF'ers!

I would add a fast developing Goodyear to this list.

Seriously, he's a long term proposition around chb, his injury should not change our thinking or planning.

I was wondering how the hell we were going to fit Ramsay back into the side. Now we have an opportunity.

I like Goodyear, but he's no half back flanker. He's best played on the ball as an inside mid who can break away from packs with his pace, and that's where he'll be playing in the VFL this year.

I think we've got enough mids and HBF's to cover him.

A couple more young KPP's would be nice though
