He is an upgrade on Beams (because he has a defensive side to his game).
Quality goal kicking midfielders are not often available - send Witts and a pick. Cheers |
Beams is better offensively. It's a good comparison though and I think Treloar would make a capable replacement for Beams. Slightly different players but close enough. Last year, when Treloar's name came up as part of the Beams deal, I would have happily taken a straight swap.
It would be pretty sweet if we could snare him this year though, considering that we got JdG, Crisp and Levi in compensation already. Like it or not, they haven't and are unlikely to fill the hole left by the former #17 (different types of player for starters) but having someone like Treloar come in would sort it out nicely. |

True. But "out in straight sets" has a nice ring to it. |

I'm certainly not averse to trading our picks so that's not my issue. Just haven't seen enough of Treloar to know either way. In Hine we trust! |
strange given your oracle tendencies! |

If anyone has doubts about us chasing Adam Treloar so hard switch on the GWS vs Carlton game. He is by far a class above everyone else on that ground. _________________ Riding every bump since 1990 |

Over reaction by Pies supporters, note: one game doesn't make a season. It's Carlton for Christ sake! _________________ There is Collingwood and then the rest. |

Nice snap goal after spinning out of a pack. Most touches on the ground (23), 3 goals and using it well. _________________ Well done boys! |

Pity for you he leads GWS for total disposals then.
Man I hope we can get him.
Time for some cream on top. |

So do I
My source tells me it's a done deal and I'd be surprised we don't land Treloar & Aish. The same guy told me Dawes was out the door before it was announced and that Cloke was staying too, however he did tell me Thomas was ready to sign |

Cheers Monk. I think you'll find Thomas was ready to sign as he had failed the medical test at the Scum. MM came in at the eleventh hour and overruled the medical staff. That's how desperately he wanted him! |
