I might add that I've just read some of the other hilarious comments. The one about Seedsman is a standout. In my opinion, it isn't an especially good thing to report that one of your senior wing/half-backs had 3 kicks at 100% efficiency and missed the target with a quarter of his handballs but that's what the following comment means:

"Statistics: 3 kicks, 4 marks, 8 handballs, 11 disposals, 0 clearances, 1 inside 50, 0 rebound 50s, 3 tackles ....
While Seedsman didn’t have a lot of the ball, the way he used it certainly made his performance memorable. He kicked the ball at 100 per cent efficiency and finished with an overall disposal efficiency of 81.8 per cent."

C'mon JW - that's not even relevant. It refers to the individual player statistics, not the comments, hence:

"All the individual player statistics from the eight-point loss have been compiled by Collingwood Media and can be viewed below. All stats are courtesy of Champion Data."

If you want to run interference on the point, at least do so credibly.

The Club has, until recently, always attributed comments from the coaching staff to a specific member of the staff. It was happening earlier this season but seems to have stopped a few weeks ago. Since then, the comments look more like "spin" than genuine comments (exhibit "A" is the Seedsman comment quoted in my previous post).
