No such thing as trade bait
The last club to try it was Brisbane under Crazy Vossy
He tried to use Bradshaw as trade bait to get Fevola and was told to GAGF
Bradshaw went to Sydney and Brions got nothing
Clubs can only trade players who want to go to another club
Also important are contracts and the salary cap
All debates about trades should include both

Pretty much the start of the trade bait now. I am not big on trading talks as they don't grow on trees but with Moore showing something they might throw Witts in for the right deal. i reckon we may offer up a surprise this year in getting a deal over the line. |

| Can't trade Witts. If we rely solely on Grundy and he got a long term injury we'd be stuffed. Imagine relying on Jesse White and Darcy Moore in the ruck next year. It'd be like Chris Bryan and Guy Richards all over again. Look at Hawthorn. Someone goes down and someone competent comes in. It's called depth. Let's keep our depth in the ruck division. |
