Like shootin' fish in a barrel
Mafia money in Liberal Party Funding: yeah let's have a Royal Commission into the Unions,The ABC, throw in SBS while we're at it. Of course we'll leave the finance industry alone (when the ABC & Fairfax has previously uncovered CBA corruption in the Finance Industry).

Shooting fish in a barrel is an apt description. For avoidance of doubt, you and tannin are the fish.
I heard this story on the radio on the way home from work, it was about the Calabrian mafia attempts to inveigle themselves into Australian Politics and how they had worked into both the Libs and labor.
Just to add a bit
Quote: | 'Mafia-linked donors'
The joint investigation by ABC's Four Corners programme and Fairfax Media found a number of contacts between "known and suspected criminals" belonging to the group and senior politicians.
The report says a man with "deep mafia associations" met the then-Prime Minister, John Howard, and other top party officials at a fundraising event for the Liberal Party in the early 2000s. However, it says there was no suggestion that Mr Howard knew of the man's alleged criminal links.
It also said that both Labor and Liberal politicians had been lobbied by mafia-linked donors on issues of interest to their legitimate and non-legitimate businesses. |

Maybe the RC into the unions will discover more links with the Mafia. Or maybe they'll just figure out why little Bills hand picked state secretary of the HSU had her right of entry ticket revoked by Fair Work Australia today. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
