You need to watch the whole film for context.

Ideally, several times.

Let's be honest.

You and I both know I'm not going anywhere near one of your movie suggestions. Razz

The only one I would consider watching is that leso one and even then I have countless dvds of the real thing so why bother. Embarassed Laughing

Lol, haven't you heard the expression "Even a stopped clock is right twice a day"? Wink

Okay, this calls for drastic intervention. Can someone who's not me sell Withnail & I to Swoop42? Mr. Green

Never heard of it.

And you can be damn sure I'm not watching anything about Lance Whitnall anyway!

Close, it's about his brother Shane and it's a first person mocumentary from the perspective of Shane's wife tammy.

it's set in an English village because the producer had some bad acid and decided that the english country side was a lot like Thomastown.

Look, I'll be the first to admit that my film tastes aren't for everyone, and it's quite possible that you'd hate 90% of the films I like (and vice versa!). But I think this is an exception. If you can appreciate British comedy, I think you'll enjoy it. A lot of people do.
