Assuming we had Toovey, Reid, Greenwood, Ramsay and Moore available and in good form, what might our best 22 look like? I'm not considering Scharenberg or Freeman, because they are yet to display great form at all yet, and are really unknown quantities.

B: Williams Brown Goldsack

HB: Toovey Frost Langdon

C: Varcoe Pendles Seedsman

HF: Fasolo Cloke Sidey

F: White Reid Elliott

FOLL: Witts, Swan, Greenwood

IC: Grundy, Adams, Blair, Oxley (sub)

EM: Kennedy Ramsay, De Goey, Moore

This team might contain one too many talls, with Reid's inclusion. Still, I'd like to see it tried.

I used to be undecided, but now I'm not so sure.

Exactly. Crisp is a lock for our best 22. Been super impressive.

Nice to dream. Think you're right, 1 too many talls with Grundy, Witts and White when you include Reid. More reasonable next year with no Sub.

Crisp ahead of De Goey and Moore at this stage.

not if reid plays in defence. if that is the case frost might get the chop.

I like the balance of the defense as stated.

Look to the future, not the past!

B: Williams Frost Goldsack
HB: Ramsay Moore Langdon
C: Varcoe Adams Oxley
HF: Pendles Cloke Sidey
F: Grundy Reid Elliott
FOLL: Witts, Swan, Crisp
IC: Greenwood, Toovey, De Goey, Seedsman (sub)
EM: Blair, Brown, Sinclair

White comes in if Reid is not fit; Brown replaces either Frost or Moore if need be; Blair comes in in case of injury to a small like De Goey or Adams or Kennedy; Sinclair in case of injury to a small defender or wingman.

Edit: Woops! Crisp! Kennedy comes out, Crisp in, and Seedy becomes the sub.

this thread proves that we are really solid in the 13-22 type of player. In fact we probably have 25 of them.

sadly, we need a more formidable best dozen.

By my count, we currently have 5 best dozen type players! hopefully a few more of the youngsters can step up, but for now here are 5 of our best dozen:

Pendles
Swan
Cloke
Elliot
Sidey

need 7 of our from the aforementioned 25 to become top 12 calivre players.....

Agree E. That is where the draft picks and recruiting at the end of this development season is absolutely VITAL for setting us up for the next 4-5 years.

Recruited as a forward and started his career as a forward. Pretty handy down back though. Wink
