Real issue is who is ahead in the rebuild stakes, us or them?

Would Dangerfied leave Adelaide to go to a side that may be in full rebuild over the next few years?

Unless he believes that a side is in premiership contention, why leave Adelaide?

FWIW I think if he chooses to come to Melboune, then more likely to pick us over the cats as we are ahead in the rebuild.

Still valid I reckon. The Geelong of old wouldn't have come so close to losing to the Gold Coast Flogs.

8 years and 3 flags. Not a bad era and it was always going to end. Wish it had have been earlier, like when Ablett and Bomber left, but they grabbed another flag.

Stakes indeed - every time we drive a media obituary stake into Geelong's hearts, they rise again weeks later just like Christopher Lee as Dracula in the 60s&70s Hammer vampire movies...

Let me know when they finish out of the eight...

the bastard pussies are finally done and dusted,im calling it. Too old and too slow, and injuries are kicking in, and their few kids are not that great, they still rely heavily on ol stagers, stevie j, bartel, Enright, taylor, Kelly, longergan, even sellwood is no spring chicken now. Prune faces scott may have to suck up some real pain soon, if it wasn't for the creeps having those kardinia home games, against usually poor teams, they would be in real dire straits.

Here's a statistic we can all enjoy:

"scoring is a primary concern for Geelong, with the Cats recording their lowest aggregate score in the opening four rounds since 1972, when they scored just 275 points"

This year, the Cats only lead Essendon and the Brisbane Lions for total scores (293 points to Essendon's 292 and the Lions’ 248) "
.

It's disappointing that the Suns couldn't have kicked a little straighter - 15.16, instead of 13.18, and the Cats would be 0 and 4.

Even their CEO is calling it:

“I would have loved for all of the supporters to have jumped on board, and, this is a new journey and it is going to be a bumpy one too, I think,” Cook told the Herald Sun.

“It’s going to take a little bit of time and it’s going to take a fair bit of resilience from our supporters.

“I just hope that through these minor setbacks and minor hardships that there is a positive reaction from our supporters because it has been a pretty good ride for 10 years.

“It can’t last forever and we know that equalisation does take its toll.”
