Any danger of getting this sorted, this week? Geez, both would've been handy in the vfl yesteray, especially Keeffe! In saying that I should probably just get used to them being out for the year, at least. Be nice to know where we stand

| Better for them to stay out, any suspension includes the time off they're taking now but if we played them then it starts from when they're found guilty. Kind of like sitting in remand then being sentenced to time served. (These two will be gone for a while though I'd think). |

COLLINGWOOD coach Nathan Buckley says the club remains in the dark as to what the next steps are for provisionally suspended pair Lachie Keeffe and Josh Thomas.
Buckley confirmed yesterday the pair had returned to Queensland for a period while they awaited the results of their B samples after returning positive tests to the banned substance Clenbuterol.
The results of the B samples are not yet known, despite it being almost a fortnight since they were tested.
The pair face two-year suspensions if they cannot adequately explain how the drug came to be in their systems when samples were taken in February.
They were back home (in Queensland) for a couple of weeks, I believe they are back in Melbourne now and we are looking forward to catching up with them over the next couple of days to see what the next steps in this situation (are), Buckley said on 3AW yesterday.
We still havent been notified as a club of what their situation is or where they are going to be coming at it from.
Their legal representation will let us know in due course.
It is part of the process that we sort of understand we are at arms length from at the moment.

More that someone 'could' target, or be paid to target a club/player/players by doing that.
Think about it - someone (everyone?) hates us just because we are Collingwood.
Dale the drug dealer is approached by a player or his 'representative' from Collingwood to supply coke or whatever vile filth they are dealing.
Knowing where he can get some clembuterol or other perf enhancing drug, he decides to cut some into the product he is making or selling, just to put that player and/or club in the crap.
Dale the drug dealer then anonymously calls WADA/ASADA/MEMADA and dobs in a club or specific players.
The testing guys are sent out immediately (as per the targeting of Swanny by ASADA a few years ago when the rumors were rife) and low and behold the dobbed in player or numerous players test positive for performance enhancing drugs/steroid/peptides and is subsequently suspended for 2+ years. Potentially decimating the club for many years to come.
Should be enough of a potential career destroying scenario to stop ALL players using illegal drugs in the future. |

| Or there's the fact that Clenbuturol has been used to cut cocaine for years. Probably adds something to the high. Cocaine isn't generally for the street junkie, it's a party drug for the well off, a high end dealer would want 'good product' rather than to skim dollars by cutting their drugs with shit. |

It's not exactly rocket science. Cocaine and ice, Australia is one of he most expensive places in the world to get it. It's not going to o be cut with 'shit' (so to speak).
Ice on the other hand, you can get the same garbage from Mexico for less than 1/4 of what it costs here. Cocaine is the same, but not as dramatic I believe. |
