If I cant cheer for a pies flag, the next best thing is cheering for a blues Spoon. The quest starts tomorrow!! Bring it on.

Go Tigers!

Given the date why not start "Blues for the Flag" started by Nicks arguing why they will win the flag this year! Razz

OK, I admit it, a Collingwood premiership is better than a St Vomit wooden spoon. But not much better.

But if we can't have either of those two this year - and neither one is entirely out of the question - then a Carlton spoon will do to be going on with.

Dear Tannin

So nice to see a bird avatar again; the cat got the arse huh? I must take you to task however. Yes, we know and understand your hatred and cold loathing of St Kilda. We share it comrade. But a Collingwood premiership dosn't compare with anything else in footy parlance. Yes we love it when Carlton implodes and when StKilda players end up in court and naked in the papers, but a Collingwood flag by its very nature is far more precious.

After all, St Schoolgirl wins the Spoon every other year, Collingwood holds the cup aloft far less frequently.

Carlton - Played 1 - Lost 1

The best thing about last night's game is that Carlton got off to a great start. The reason that is so cool is that Scum supporters would have actually had hope! Hope that their team might be good.

So not only did they suffer a humbling loss, they also had to deal with that empty feeling of shattered hope!

Sad to see Daisy had a tough setback though.

Could the season have started any sweeter? 0-2.

Week 1 - Carlton give fans hope by getting off to a flyer. they then get over-run by a hated enemy. sadly, dale Thomas is ruled out for an extended period.

Week 2 - one small piece of the Judd trade kicks 10 goals against them (Carlton kick 9 total). Judd of course was brought in on the mistaken belief that they were close to a premiership. THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES!

Hee, Hee, Hee! I'm Lovin' It!
