Hardly a fair comparison. Hiss is much wittier than the average Herald Sun journalist. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Ditto
The more ridiculous the story the better, no such thing as bad publicity, keep us up there, keep us in the news, when we a relegated like a premiership win to the 5th page in a Brisbane newspaper, then I'll worry.

It's a load of nonsense. I've heard so many opposition supporters claim that Collingwood supporters are saying that 'we will win the flag" after defeating Hawthorn in a NAB Challenge match that means nothing in the bigger scheme of things but of course newspapers like the Herald Sun keep perpetuating this myth.
Who can blame our supporters for being happy and excited about the fact that the kids showed some spirit and glimpses of what may happen in the future but the talk of Premierships or guaranteed finals spots are utterly ridiculous at this point in time and I haven't seen one Collingwood supporters say it in the past 72 hours.
All I've seen is some optimism from our fans and excitement that this year could be a year where there's a lot to be excited about if injuries, an inept game plan and inconsistency don't prove to be hurdles we can't overcome. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

I reckon the Dogs and the Lions reckon they're a good chance atm...
Herald Sun - why don't you write about them? Probably the same reason Cloke never gets a free but look sideways at an opponent and it's free kicks galore - they hate us.
Better than when they pitied us...

Herald sun writers are told to assume that their readers are Collingwood supporters. Its not a hate thing. they are simply trying to sell papers and they sell a lot more if they assume their supporters are Collingwood supporters than Footscray supporters. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

My greatest fear has come to light! Some Collingwood fans setting themselves up by being totally bloody deluded by a practice game equalling the winning of the day premeirship! So damn stupid!
Geez some Magpies fans are much dumber than I thought.... Get a grip you fools, it's only bloody February and you set yourselves up to be the laughing stock. You give the ferals from other clubs ammunition to shoot you down with.
You will be the very same ones whinging your arses off after a few losses in the main season. |
Lazza, did you read the article?
Only one person they quoted from social media was a Collingwood supprter and even he wasn't talking about winning premierships. He was just talking about wearing Pies colours in public.
The article was BS and was originally posted by FoxFooty. It's click bait. |

Every person that mentioned a flag on Thursday night was joking knowing full well that this is the pre-season and a lot of things can change in the course of the year and that Hawthorn was severely undermanned but so were we by the way with the absences of Pendlebury, Swan, Cloke and Reid.
It's the Herald Sun and any other footy-related media that want to create a nothing story to sell more newspapers! No doubt all our supporters are excited about the prospects of the youngsters but to equate this excitement with the talk of premierships is utterly ridiculous and should be rightly criticised. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023
