who here knows what a sponsorship activation is? twice i have seen it in surveys from sporting entities such as collingwood and melbourne city.
i have since found out what one is but curious to know if it has meaning across the fan base. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

I can't say I'm privy to this but here's an article that may help better understand what it is exactly even if it's an amateur article.

Apparently you activate almonds by soaking them in water. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

i sent an email to the club about what it meant and how they should you language we all understand. the reply i got talked about sponsor giveaways, the chance to get on the mcg before games etc.
i responded to this by asking why they wouldn't just say this instead as it is much more appealling and meaningful than what sounds like a pending frontal lobotomy. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

I'm with you John Wren, but we should be thankful I suppose that they didn't use the words activisation and incentivising. Don't start me please, but they do sound a lot like words you'd hear at Young Libs meetings. _________________ After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!
Collingwood rules the world again and Mick Malthouse fulfils his destiny with the twenty ten premiership and can you hear the people sing!

I heard similar words on SEN today - reminded me why (in part) I stopped listening to them. Mostly 'coz it's raucous, people talking about themselves too much & the f*cking ads.
Nevermind. Carry on. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Yeah SEN......I guess they know their market otherwise they wouldn't survive, but it's mostly pretty amateurish and cringeworthy. On Tuesday afternoon in the car, I got tired of Classic FM and switched to the AM band. First got Tom Elliott saying he didn't believe in climate science. Switch. Raph Epstein talking to an incoherent chef. Switch. SEN nonsense about greyhound racing. Switch. 3MBS Classically Melbourne; shoulda gone there first.
I think the only thing I've ever found remotely interesting on SEN is Patrick Smith on the Monday KB show. The rest of it sounds like dull pub talk to me. _________________ After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!

could be worse, i guess. we could all be futurising. at the moment, i must comfort myself by reimagining us winning another flag. perhaps i am futurising. who really knows?! _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |
