The Friday training thru Varcoe eyes:
He talked about Caff and Reid [vision of lapwork] and how the match game
facet was kept to a particular time to assist the prevention of soft tissue
injuries.
Appears to be having some imput to 2015 a little more than just as a player
and have seen him in some chats and debates with Bucks

Me thinks he is happy coming to us

It is always good to be exposed to other ideas and concepts especially coming from mature players from successful clubs. It is good to see that Varcoe has truly committed himself to the Pies and our success.

I don't think either of them is fit enough to take a place in the midfield just yet, DTM.

I suspect there is a little question here about whether Geelong used Varcoe in a way where he can do the most damage to other teams in matches. I'd be happy to see him play as an outside forward/Wing crumber who gets bugger all possessions but kicks 20-30 goals for the season. If he achieves that I'd put it down as a win for us.

Well he isn't going to be an inside mid or a Goldsack clone who tackles for fun.

Yes it was probably a bit of a Cptn Obvious comment. I never wanted him in the first place but unless he hits the scoreboard this year I'll be pissed off. Don't want to see him just racking up numbers across the HB line. Anyone can do that.

varcoe tore us apart in the granny three seasons ago, that's good enough for me to think he will be real handy, real handy for sure.

Gold!

(Stui I guess the mods didn't like your smiley faces!)

It's taken me a while to get used to the idea, and I don't need to go back and remember that games thanks!

Should be interesting, nice to get some experience of his caliber
