I never buy hamburger patties from the shops. Hamburger bought elsewhere no probs.

rarely do I make my own but I have.

Mrs WPT & Ms Junior WPT are vegetarians now.

Went to Coles. Was at the meat section. What can I make for lunch & later... Must have been this thread. Bought 4 x Birregurra Beef patties.

There was left over salad from the night before. Had some pocket pitas (super fresh that I'd bought earlier).

So had tahina, tomato sauce, salad & beetroot in the pita with the burger that' I'd cut into pieces to fit - very nice.

^ Sounds like a nice lunch, but no way a pukkah hamburger, in my book. Technically, maybe, but what you had sounds closer to a minced pattie souvlaki.

That's true. A burger it wasn't. But tasty nonetheless. Not quite a souvi though, no sweat being dropped onto it & no tzatziki sauce!

My problem is not the salad or the meat seeing that I no longer eat bread and grains. There is nothing like a high quality traditional hamburger. All the same, meat at the bottom.

Or just buy one of these!

In 2009, McDonalds closed in Iceland and on October 31st that year, Hjrtur Smrason bought the last McDonalds hamburger in the country.

Smrason kept the burger, accompanied by fries, in a plastic bag for three years during which it remained unchanged.

The hamburger, which still shows no signs of decomposition is now exhibited at Bus Hostel in Skgarhl.

The burger and remaining fries are still in good shape even though it's been six years since their sell-by date. Shocked Shocked Shocked

So where do you prefer your preservative and plastic filings then? Razz
