If mods are going to split threads which is not always a bad thing can you at least announce it into the OP.

Edit*david split this from a thread in VPT*

So, you were complaining about people arguing about Jesus in the Christmas thread, but now you're annoyed that the thread was split?

No pleasing some people!

I'd normally PM this but well you know, once again you are reading with closed eyes. I(we) are NOT complaining about the split I(we) am complaining about the lack of notice about it in either thread.

Some (me) would call it arrogance.

This isn't really the thread to be discussing moderating decisions, but, since you asked, it's not really the norm for notice to be given when threads are split. Perhaps if the split thread was moved to another forum a link might be left, but even then it's generally considered that people can work it out for themselves. Up until now it's never really occurred to me that this might be a problem.

Happy to discuss this further in the general feedback forum if you would like.

Maybe it's not the norm here, but most other forums give their members the courtesy of keeping them in the loop.

Mod how you feel fit.

David, if you are going to PM me about so called in your opinion "backseat moderating" in a thread please have the smarts and decency to put a link into the PM.

As I cannot reply to Private Messages I am posting this on the board where it should NOT BE but you leave me no other option because I cannot reply to any PM's no matter how trivial they may be.

Seriously get over yourself.

I just didn't see the need to split the thread and create another thread on Transgender issues OK. It's funny actually because the Gender thread is a split thread to start with!
If that is backseat Moderating and not you targeting me I expect everyone else who questions your infamous thread splitting gets a similar Message. If not then you are targeting me.

1061, your vendetta against me is getting extremely tiresome, and I'm getting tired of having to delete post after post of you attacking me for doing my job in threads about other subjects. I am well aware that you cannot respond to PMs and only sent you one here as a last resort. Please abide by the rules, or there will be consequences.
