Given the media hype and loose lips last year when the world seemed to know we were after Bontempelli and got gazumped by the Bulldogs. Is it possible we want Laverde and putting hints out re De Goey???

I jumped on De Goey about a week and a half ago after reading a number of reports and watching vision.

He really does seem like the real deal with very few weakness.
Almost a safe selection.

I said he looks like he has the Selwood / Beams hard at it playing style but better overhead Mark.

Add to that the fact he is a hard runner, a contested ball winner with a high effective disposal rate - just seems to tick a lot of boxes

Also, many rate him as BOG in the GF playing along side Moore. History can repeat itself like picking up Pendles and Dollars.

The only downside it seems is that he is not prolific in terms of possessions. But his kicking, marking & timing look really good from the video clips that I've seen so far.

Yes I thought that at first however he played more game time as a forward rather than mid. When he played mid he had no trouble finding the footy.
