For me it just raises the point that the list number is just too small. Late last season we were very close to running out of players, and the ability to bring a kid through as a long term project is gone. How would adding 5 spots to each list and raising the cap accordingly hurt the game? Back in the olden days we used to have around 60 or 70 on the list, but then many were paid in free dinners and slabs of Carlton Draught. Surely this would allow more kids to be drafted and get a shot at their dream, and allow a young player to have one average season without getting dumped. As it is you can never have real depth, so what's the down side? _________________ "If at first you dont succeed...

Question.
Can we demote The Berg to the rookie list for 2015? I know he'll be on the LTI list but that only clears a main list spot for a rookie, it'd be handy to have an extra ND pick this year instead.
I heard you have to delist the player first but I'm not 100% sure about that. _________________ Defender...........

And I think there in lies the problem a few were debating in the trade forum...ie what sort of risk is he at of being picked up by another club if delisted even our intentions are to pick him up again straight away.
I'm a little uneducated in this area however. Trade gurus? _________________ No Pressure, No Diamonds

After further thought, if we could do it every player coming off a late season ACL would be rookied, was just thinking out loud. _________________ Defender...........

by my reckoning, we have five list spots - 3 at the draft and 2 rookies. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

With Frost remaining on the rookie list and Armstrong being demoted, it's actually 4 & 1 now + Moore. Unless they decide to pass on pick 85 and keep a senior spot for a rookie promotion. |
