^^I know Bucks was very disappointed Sinclair couldn't play more last season. I'm sure his dream forward line contains all of Blair, Goldsack and Sinclair . _________________ Well done boys! |

$750 000 reasons cannot blame him I'd live in Brisbane for that type of coin.
As for the Brions being closer to a flag than us of course he is going to say that. How much shit would he be in if he stated the Brion are crap and dont have a forward or backline. _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

Wish Beamsy all the best...i will at least get to see him play quite regularly here in Brisbane.
And just for the record, 5 & 25 would have been adequate compensation. But instead Hine & Co got 5, Greenwood and Crisp for Beams...OUTSTANDING! _________________ All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Still, I really wonder why people have the idea that if an AFL identity says something in an interview it has to be true. It really isn't a fool proof way to learn the truth! |

I have no ill will towards him, it's not like he went and played for another Vic club, he had genuine reasons for leaving.

So Dayne if it was all about family then why not be open to a trade to the Gold Coast where I believe your father actually resides?
If it meant less money so be it.

You can't blame him for saying that. He has to talk up his new club. I bear no ill feeling towards him, except when we play the Bears. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced we've come out ahead from him leaving. Greenwood, Crisp and a player like Laverde is a terrific deal imo. |

I am disappointed in Beams leaving and I suspect that the money had a lot to do with it. That said only time will tell if we are ahead in the trade or not.

Exactly. I don't believe he really really wants to play with his brother. _________________ The window is open my friend! |

Greenwood will be a better extractor of the pill and i believe will run back and defend better. Just not the kicking and goal nous of Beams. However with Crisp and #5 we have two future players that could well and truly put us on top in this deal which is not easy when a player wants to walk!
Overall Greenwood is more defensive than Beams as a mid but Varcoe is more attacking that H - and we needed that better mix in the middle and up forward.
Of course Crisp and #5 offer some real potential for the years to come. _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |
