I really don't like Dwayne Russell's commentary, I found him annoying. Having said that I'm surprised to find myself linking him here. He thought Collingwood was the trade winner. Here are his reasons:

One of the more biased anti-Collingwood commentators so this must have been tough for him. Interesting that he really rates Crisp and I guess that highlights why people arrive at differing assessments, we all have our own opininions on the relative merits of the players in question.

What Russell said is logical though. The collective "we" got caught up in the emotions of losing Beams & demanding blood.

At the end of the trading person we got:

1. Pick 5.
2. Greenwood
3. Varcoe
4. Crisp as well as picking up
5. Moore.

Thats a pretty good week & a half's work after losing H & Beams.

Greenwood after his best season, Crisp played 3 years (seconds & firsts) with the latter part of this year being his best & Varcoe showing he's over his injuries. I like Russell's logic here. Mind you flattery will get you everywhere.
