Funny how posters like this burton and the dog signed up during this period, disappeared for years and are now around, hating on collingwood...

It's interesting to me anyway.

It's interesting to me too, Mr.Crawl. Smile

Burton seems like the sort of bloke who tries to run over magpies in his car. Of course he never gets one because they're far too quick and awesome for him, but the point is he still tries.

Seriously I just asked about his shoulders!
If someone asked about Swans wrists.
I would answer - operations last year and
he can't bend them back which seems to hamper a little his marking, hand balling and sometimes ball handling.

Is it just me, or am l the only one here who is happy that we got Varcoe?
We need outside run.
The fastest players on out oust are as follows:
Toovey - lost his pace since the knee injury
Sinclair - played 3 games
Freeman - did his hamstring 3 times in his first year
Williams - cannot hit a target
Harry O - gone to Melbourne
Broomhead - only played the last 6/7 games
So based on all that, we need the pace that Varcoe will provide.
Play him on the wing and let him run.

Agree Mavs, If he rediscovers his form he would be gold.

Sorry, thought someone made the observation that he'd gotten through 20 odd games last season so I'd assumed that to imply the shoulder issue is managable. Hopefully it turns out to be as much of an issue as Stevie J's ankle.

Hopefully those of us that were not supportive of the proposed trading of Varcoe all end up with egg on our faces.

He's here now, has my full support. Hope he turns out to be an inspired pick up.

23 games this year suggests his shoulders are ok.

Wish I'd said that!

... or that he was very lucky. And that they are both about to fall off. Wink

Interesting to read that Varcoe has an 83% win rate over his career. To put that into perspective, he has played 138 games but only has 3 fewer career wins than Buckley did as a player (from 280 games).

We replaced a running ball carrier that has played 199 games, with a running ball carrier that has played 143 games.

Not seeing the issue?
