Just going to cut and paste what i said in the Beams thread to this.....


People on here should relax a little on the pick.4 situation...it is the same time honoured (see worn out tradition) of pre-trade week:

Player X wants to go to Y club:
Club Y: "yes we want him but we are only willing to give this under value offer"

Club X : "you have to be kidding that is well under the value". [

Club Y : well stuff you that is all we are offering take it or leave it


This banter continues for most of trade, week with media speculation and froth that this player will walk and blah blah blah.

Then with about 24hours of trade week to go suddenly club Y stops the brinks men ship of waiting/hoping for club x to panic and accept the deal...and makes a better offer (see Sam Mayes and pick.4 Wink ) and the deal is done.

The only thing is.....Why has Beams/his manager said they will only deal with Brisbane??? ....isn’t it all about him just getting home for his family???...wouldn’t Gold Coast fit the bill just as well? ....it would also force Brisbane’s hand much earlier.
