Plenty suggesting he was a bit lucky. Don't know why though. Super consistent all year for mine.

Agree Damien. He's such a brilliant, extra-ordinary player, that I think we expect to see him get BOG every week, otherwise we think he hasn't played well. However, even his "lesser" performances were still valuable and he still managed to show his extraordinary skills at times throughout the season. Now it's been revealed that he was carrying a shoulder injury, which means courage can be added to the equation. Not that I have ever doubted that!!

Good on ya Pendles. Congratulations. Brilliant effort.

Lucky ? Blimey, he's the Brownlow favourite, isn't he ?

The man is a freak, and a once-in-a generation player, and he's ours. Congratulations to the great man.

He wasn't talked up and in many moch teams he wasn't in it.
Surprising it shouldn't be given the stats he has racked up compared to other mids. Especially his disposal efficiency no point getting it a heap if you turn it over.

I think that Pendles is a little like Ablett though, because a lot of times I watched Pendles, he looked like he was carrying injuries, whereas Ablett just didn't play when he got injured. Great effort considering the strain of the captaincy and trying to carry the midfield by himself when Beams was injured.

Well done Pendles.

I thought Ablett was actually the lucky one to be selected. Geez he missed 8 weeks (that's more than a third of the season) and it might have given the selectors a chance to pick someone else for a change. Frankly I'm sick of seeing the same old faces (Nick Reiwoldt included!).

As for the Buddy Franklin love, excuse me while I choke! Evil or Very Mad

It would be unusual for Ablett to get more votes than the winner.

Pendles is so good that people take it for granted now.

People salivate over the likes of Selwood and Fyfe and I'll concede both are absolute guns but I read somewhere that behind Ablett, for effectiveness Pendlebury rates higher than anyone else.

I've loved Scotty since day dot and I look forward to watching him play at his usual level of brilliance for another 6-7 years at least and earn many more AA's.

Agree with it all, shame he had a few quieter games this year with Swanny having an ordinary year and Beamsy having an interrupted season the Brownlow which he so deserves would be his.

Probably doesn't help only winning 11 games.

Pendles is an inspiration for every young Collinwood footballer and whilst the modern game does not allow for a Magpie Captain to emulate "The Enforcer", a captain such as Scott is a constant reminder to every player they can try harder.

If this team is to prove Hiss has stuffed up once again, it must become a fitter and closer group than the 2014 team, and now that Lappin has gone a forward line is a definite possibility. If we build a potent forward line we take a lot of pressure from the defence because the competition will have to place more bodies down there rather than the three to tackle Cloke and forget the rest. The mids have more room to score when the forward line know where to run and suddenly Hiss looks like yesterdays news.

Go Pies!

Good effort all round. Nice to see Scott keeping up his great record.
