I will be very sad to see him go. I would much prefer him stay as he is a good footy player.
Due to other players injuries he had to play back when our mids were not assisting the defence & the defence was under enormous pressure. He was destined to play as an attacking wingman & when he did he played quite well.
I also think the reactions to H's supposed behaviour & opinions / stance seems way disproportionate to what may or may not have transpired. The degree of a pack mentality it seems after H is quite amazing to read.
I would want more than a straight swap for Clark.
I wish H all the best.
Of course I wish us all the best too _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

I understand where you're coming from WPT, and as I've said previously, not only do I think H is a great player, but I'm proud that he's prepared to take a stand on issues of social justice. However, it appears that H twice - that we know of - offered to resign from the club because they haven't responded to him the way he'd like. From a club point of view, once a player keeps offering to resign, it's clear they need to move on. I feel sad, but really the club has no choice but to assist him find another club. My real worry is for the mental health and well-being of Heritier. |

I can see H, after footy, as a Greens pollie up in Canberra, hed suit that I reckon, it may well be his post footy calling. I bear no animosity towards him, just wish it could have turned out all different really. That's life I guess. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Hopefully H will still be at Collingwood next year
Would want more than just a straight swop H for Clark
Clark has a serious injury that has meant not playing for a couple of seasons and so will need more than just a preseason to get fit
This is without considering his other issues _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

The reports suggest we'll get a mid 20s pick for Heritier, but won't have to trade anything that high to get Clark. |

So would we ask for more?
And do you think there is any chance at all H will stay? _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

in response to neil, why would clubs offer more than a pick in the 20s? his value will be dictated by what the clubs put forward. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Will we reconsider our Emirates sponsorship as UAE is has very similar laws.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-09-18/afl-europe-deal-with-royal-brunei-airlines-will-be-cancelled/5754098
Quote: | The Australian Football League (AFL) has called off a sponsorship deal between its affiliated league in Europe and Brunei's state airline.
In August, AFL Europe announced it had reached a deal with Royal Brunei Airlines to fly international players between Melbourne and London as part of a sponsorship arrangement.
AFL Europe receives financial support from the AFL and promotes the code in 22 European countries.
Last week, the ABC questioned the AFL about the sponsorship deal with Brunei's state airline.
The agreement came amidst a worldwide boycott campaign aimed at businesses owned by the Sultan of Brunei after he imposed harsh Sharia laws in his country.
When fully implemented in 2015, the laws will impose the death penalty by stoning for gay sex and adultery.
The AFL released a statement that said its European affiliate was unaware of Brunei's adoption of the laws.
"These laws are counter to everything the AFL stands for in regards to inclusion and diversity," the statement said.
An AFL spokesman said that after examining the issue, the league was now working with AFL Europe to wind up the agreement.
The spokesman said the sponsorship deal will be terminated "possibly within days, at most within a few weeks". |

Maybe H could have a word with the Sultan and bring the Dali Lama to the table and negotiate a better deal for the people with the sponsorship subsequently retained? _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |
