If I had my way he would never umpire an AFL game again. I wonder if this would have occurred if he had been judged on his biased handling of a Pies game.

"Umpires also feel the heat during finals
TWO of the more prominent umpires of recent times won’t be blowing the whistle this weekend.
Razor Ray Chamberlain has been told he won’t be required for the rest of the finals after a disappointing game in Friday night’s qualifying final ended his campaign.
Even more eyebrow raising is the benching of Brett Rosebury. Rosebury, who has umpired in the past five grand finals, is still in the mix but his chances of getting the big one again have taken a hit given he won’t be lining up in this week’s semi-final match-ups."

I guess with the Pies not in the finals the AFL doesn't require any anti-Collingwood umpires. |

I would like a listing of the amount of big games and finals that prick has cost us; it would be as long as your arm.
But one substandard final for 2 clubs that aren't black and white? Onya bike son.

Exactly what I thought when I saw the title of the thread. |

Good news. Umpires are supposed to be unobtrusive, not the centre of attention. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Razor was benched but his brothers still did their best to gift the game to Geelong. The stats tell me the frees were very even, but what was the count for the last quarter? Was Razor Ray paying frees by telepathy from the grandstand? _________________ After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!

Justin Schmitt is hands down the most biased anti-Collingwood flog umpiring today.
His overruling of the presiding umpire from 50 metres off the ball to call a clear Scott Pendlebury handball a throw which directly led to a Hawthorn goal and completely destroyed our momentum, was a blatant disgrace.
Then single handedly paying 9 frees against us in the first quarter against West Coast in Perth (we only received 10 frees for the match) just confirmed his hatred of us. I'm glad I wasn't there that day as I would have struggled not to jump the fence and throttle the bastard. |

I don't know if it's just anti-Collingwood though I can understand the arguments. I often wonder if it's more to do with the gambling. A couple of punter mates of mine pointed out that the Pies never get good odds because the moment it looks like we'll have a sniff, we all pile into our Holdens and head to the TAB put the kids' uni funds on the Pies.
Got me thinking that while what they were saying was only a slight exaggeration, there would be a few people seriously invested in the other side.
Anyway, for me it's Nicholls. I used to watch a lot of footy for my SC team and thought he was as corrupt as sin. So often, the underdogs would get an armchair ride to half time and then everything would switch in the 3rd quarter. Lately though I think he might just be incompetent, although I admit I hardly watch anymore. |
