Too bad Lukey couldn't get to 100 games for CFC just 9 short there (just looking in to the future for a father-son prospect perhaps...)

Congratulations Bally. Thanks for playing for the mighty magpies these last 4 years. Pure class both on & off the field.

An ornament to the game, both at Collingwood and St Kilda (not that they appreciated him however). A role model to kids and adult fans alike for the way he always conducts himself. Thanks for everything Luke, you will always be a Collingwood premiership player.

Cracks me up the so called "experts" said Ball should stay on as a tagger, **** it makes me wonder how some of these guys get a job writing about our game, Ball is a fine player but he doesn't have the tools to play the role.

The send off provided by the Hawks players alongside our guys last night says it all.

Great player, great person and a great loss to the game.

I hope that someone picks him up for a coaching role.

I was pleased for Luke to see that Hodge came out to line up and applaud. It was great to see Bally get a proper send off - it would have been a shame to see him go out in the same unheralded manner he left his previous poor-excuse-for-a-football-club.

It was outstanding.

So were the guys in standing room behind the bay, last quarter ther were chanting and singing Luke ball it was magic. The much maligned cheer squad were great last night. They cheered all night. And we went down and stood with them at the end, when Eddie came over to say goodbye,

The guard of honour was fantastic, and the Hawthorne team brilliant and respectful.

When you got to go out early, it was the way to do it. I great night at the footy, a sad one, but still....the kids kept fighting, Luke took a great, final mark and the crowd went wild.

Thanks for the memories Luke. Hope they find him a role at the club, he's just amazing.

Very sad to see him retire. Well done Luke Ball.

The cold and brief embrace from Bucks after the the game told me everything about Collingwood at the moment.

Then you obviously didn't watch their joint press conference after the game - great mutual respect between two former champions of the Club.
