Starting to warm to the idea for several reasons.
One is that Frawley is a quality key defender.
2. It will allow us to play Reid as a key forward on a permanent basis if that's our desire.
3. With the worry about Brown and his shoulder and previous knee injury it will sure up our kp stocks in the short to medium term.
4. With the retirement of Maxwell he will provide experience and leadership for our young defence. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

^^There's no doubt he's a quality signing at the right price. As a free agent though, you'd have to worry that the price will be north of right. Do we not think the Hawks are absolutely desperate for his type?
He'd be a useful signing for us. But we are not desperate. If it was a choice between Frawley and a quality offensive mid, I'd go the mid. The only pause I'd have is over Brown's potential for recovery. With Brown, Frost, Keeffe and Reid, we have key position defense covered.
Still, even with the position covered, if he wants to play for us and the price is right, we definitely make the deal. _________________ Well done boys! |

Is he really asking for 800k though and if so is he worth that?
Seems way too much for us to part with unless we go the long term back ended contract ala Buddy, to a lesser extent obviously. |

Upgrade on Brown.
Would not offer more than 500k
Have watched some of his recent games and his value is heading south. |

I've thought this through, considering we have Reid, Brown, Keeffe and Frost as key backs why would we pay big coin for Frawley? I actually don't see him defensively as an upgrade on Frost.
Nah, stuff him. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

^We need to play Reid forward to have any hope of a flag within 3 years IMHO and with Brown now suffering a serious shoulder injury on top of a previous knee injury those are serious risks to two areas of his body that are prone to re-injury.
We have enough key defenders if we have a healthy list but how often does that happen?
If the price is less than $800,000 a year or the length less than 7 years then it's worth serious consideration. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Barrett on the footy show didn't even mention Collingwood when it came to Frawley.
Perhaps we are planning on making a Sydney style grab for Frawley that no one sees coming (well didn't till last night) or as usual it's all a lot of talk and not much substance to the rumour. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

As with most free agents, he's being pretty overrated. Mind you having the luxury of Reid and Frawley as your KP swing men is pretty tasty |
