Too young for the tv series, maverick, but I did see the movie he made with Mel Gibson, and the classic still watchable today, The Great Escape.
And of course Murphys Romance with the flying nun!

He really was just awesome in "The Notebook".

Up there easily with the best love story/drama I've ever seen.

Married to his only wife for 58 years! Guess he knew about sticking with it at the end!

I only ever really saw him in 8 Simple Rules after John Ritter passed away, it's freaky that Dad was watching Maverick on the Saturday on YouTube. Great actor though very sad news.
