king malta, is that you??? why, i think it is.

good luck with this.

i thought the name "yarraside" should have been kept.

i am looking forward to the new season and the club has done what clubs need to do ... give and sell us hope. some good signings so far.

btw, can we get rid of that ridiculous 'happy together' song. let's get something meaningful. make up a song if you have to.

That or may not be me JW Wink

The YSide name being revoked was a decision made by the core group that ran that terrace. They feel that Melbourne City is a completely new club and that Yarraside should always be the Active Support group attached to the Heart rather than City. As people who poured a lot of time and money into the group I support the decision and understand where they're coming from, it is a shame we lost the same though, as it was a ripper!

I'm personally quite keen on Happy Together as are a fair portion of the fans in the Active bays so I hope it stays Smile

Regardless, let's hope for a good season! Looks good so far I must say.

if mcfc is a new entity then the song should go too?

anyway, good start to season so far. looking forward to next week's home game. hopefully the crowds improve. though, i do enjoy the intimate atmosphere of only a few thousand.

There's varying views on whether it's a new entity or not, I personally hold the view that while aesthetic changes have been made the core of the club remain and it still feels like the Melbourne heart to me, everyone will be different though.

All that being said a lot of us connect with the song and want it to stay so it'll be around for a while yet hopefully Wink

Yeah, the turnout up in Sydney was good and we played some decent stuff, can't wait for Sunday!

Was great to see David Villa open his account with a goal last weekend!

It will be such a shame if his loan concludes earlier than expected. I was thinking of buying a ticket to a Melbourne City game at some point in November to see him live in action.
