I see on another board that you were "staggered" that Seedsman wasn't named in our bests, Matty. Out of curiosity, who goes out of those best for Seeds, in your opinion?

Our mate Armstrong of course, he was woeful in the first half, I don't care what anyone else says.

Thought that might be the case. Just wanted to check with someone who was there.

Fitting that the game was at the home of the seagulls. He would have felt right at home...

McRae had the opposite view:

Played a game of two halves. His first half was probably as good as he has played for us; the second half was mixed. When he plays at the level that he did in the first half, he is a really important player. Played really strong defensively.

Great to see Broomhead going well. Looks like an excellent prospect.

He didn't actually say Armstrong played well, rather that he wasn't up to the required level in the second half. Also, of course, saying that's as well as he's played for us is similarly loaded - he hasn't exactly set a high bar for himself with his previous games.

^ interesting interpretation. i read into that that armstrong does have an important role to play but needs to ensure he attains/maintains a level that they know he is quite capable of.

most of our players went missing in the second half. the conditions were appalling.

How about Williamstown really lifted their intensity in the third quarter when the tearing gale died in the arse. Holding the Pies in the middle of the ground with the hope of coming home strong in the last quarter.

Then all their Christmases came at once when the Antarctic blast started up again in the last quarter and the Gulls could then stroll home with a wet sail.

Reading forums after a loss it is like there is no opposition out there at all.

"We lost because..." (Fill with any of: we were shit, we didn't try, we gave up, we dropped our intensity, we blah blah blah)

Photos...

Thank goodness for the bye. Still defrosting from Sunday.

Had to sit this one out, roar. Was a little under the weather. No review from me this week, sorry.

No need to apologise, MB. Probably a good one to miss out on considering where it was played.

I have given up combating those who have their favourite easy/soft target scapegoat every bloody year I have been here. It is like these demented fools need to have their mummy blanket in putting shit on a Collingwood player who wears the jumper they were never good enough to wear.... Rolling Eyes
A bit like penis envy but more to do with a need to discharge their load on the one player they earmark each season as being worthy of their disdain.
Armstrong could get 50+ disposals and still be called a dud by these silly bloody morons.... Evil or Very Mad

Spare us the holier-than-thou routine. Cheerleading every Collingwood player and shouting abuse at people who have a different opinion on particular players does not make you a better supporter than the rest of us.
