I put together a random blog on the odd occasion and this one has done quite well for itself, getting picked up by a few magazines along the way.

I thought I'd share because if anyone here loves music as much as I do, you'll get a kick out of it.

Great work, Dom. I enjoy a bit of Bon Iver as well (perhaps I should have put that in the hipster thread, lol).

Out of interest, where else was this picked up? How did you go about submitting it for publication? I ask this as a fellow 'scribe' who has had considerably less luck getting published (though I sometimes think I just don't try hard enough).

Hey mate, it's been picked up in the Mx (newspaper that goes for free with public transport in Melb, Syd and Bris) and its suppose to also be going into 'The Music' - a mag and website based out of Melbourne.

Unfortunately for us both Dave, there's no real secret - you just have to email people, bother them and always expect to get paid absolutely nothing.

Find the editor's email, make sure what you've written is in their style and send him the attachment/link - try and make the email worth reading and not skim-worthy.. Go from there.

The more you get published, the easier it gets.
