Come on you guys!
One more win.
Making the World Cup is a fabulous achievement and gives us all an unforgettable blast. Who can ever forget 2006 & 2010. We don't seem as strong this time around, but so what!!
Let's make it. Let's sit back and watch the drama of our group draw. Let's spend a year checking out our group opponents every move. Let's all hold World Cup parties. Let's make it and watch every second completely transfixed. Let's make it and cause a massive upset. Let's get fired up for the greatest sporting event on Earth.
One more win guys!

I hope we get thru. i would not be sad if we don't though.

With Iraq sending over a Weak Side gives us the Advantage.

Though Socceroo's have trouble with Iraq in the Recent Pass

Brilliant!
All you need to do is make it. That's an achievement in itself. It was tense last night, but now we have a year to sit back, gloat, and make ready.
It's always fascinating to see now who else makes it (and who misses). Some big names always miss - especially from Europe & Africa.
But relax folks we are there you bloody bewdy.
From Asia; Iran win Group A, South Korea runners up. Group B; Japan win, Australia runner up. All 4 will represent Asia in Brazil 2014.
Geez can I swing any leave next year & go?? Hmmmm

Well done to the Socceroos. I was very happy to see them make it in the end Smile.

They do have to improve from now until June next year though. The way they've played overall throughout this qualification period, they'll be definitely making up the numbers unfortunately, but things can change and the World Cup can produce surprises, so I'm not losing faith in them. My big surprise team which I'm predicting to do really well and go far in Brazil next year is Belgium.

Anyway, congratulations to the Socceroos Very Happy

Well, June 2014 will be a bit of a challenge for the Socceroos: Chile (presently ranked 15th in the world), the Netherlands (presently 9th but runners-up to Spain at the last World Cup) and Spain (1st) in the group games.

I will be pleased to see Australia play the Netherlands in a competitive match. My interest in soccer really started at the 1974 World Cup, watching Cruyff, Neeskens, Arie Haan and Johnny Rep run around the park.

I also remember the Chileans fondly - Australia drew with them in that tournament.

Well I think we've done well if we finish with 0 points and a goal difference of less than -10 next year Rolling Eyes

Talk about a tough draw, but in reality we're one of the worst sides going around next year in the World Cup.

Such pessimism Jezza!
We've got more of a chance than; Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Turkey, Denmark, Poland, Peru, N Korea, Bulgaria, Scotland, Romania, Senegal, Morocco, South Africa or Czech Republic, all of whom have had their World Cup moments in the past.

The question is, can we do a New Zealand 2010 and scrap hard with a basically useless team and grab some points?

Sorry for the pessimism sixpoints but we're simply not a good side compared to 2006 or even 2010 for that matter.

We're going to really struggle unless a miracle occurs!
