It's no surprise that GWS passed on Dids and that he's attracted no other interest (thus far).
Leon Davis at the same age but with a fresher body and coming off an outstanding AA season couldn't attract any interest from another club when he left Collingwood so Didak who's been crippled by injury and is a shadow of the player he was had no chance at all. |

Dids in serious talks with a few local clubs who are keen to pick him up. Highest bidder will win. |

Yeah exactly what I was thinking.

Eddie alluded to there being a job for Dids at the club. Good to see. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

I thought Essendon or Carlton could have used him next year. Even a contender like Freo and even Hawthorn. But we delisted him for a reason I supose. He was great at VFL level almost every week in 2013.
If Sheedy was coaching, he would have wanted him. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

From what I saw I'd argue against that. I didn't see every week, just a handful of games but what I saw told me the game had gone past him. Still an exceptionally skilled finisher, but was unaccountable and needed someone to get the ball for him. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I feel sorry for Dids that he didn't get another chance with another club after he was delisted in September, but another part of me is also happy that he'll forever be a one-club player as well. I couldn't fathom the idea of Dids playing in opposition colours (especially for a big rival club).
I wish him the best of luck with his future endeavours whatever they may be. Nice to hear that Eddie has offered him a gig at the club again going by what someone posted earlier. Dids is welcome back at the club anytime he wants
Thanks for the memories Dids! _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Stui is correct.
He might still have been able to put it on a $2 coin, but Dids had clearly lost depth on his kicking and that yard of pace as well.
We made the right decision. Doesn't make it any easier, though... |
