Someone sent me this email this morning. Does anyone else know if this is true?
Eddie on radio this morning suggesting Adam Goodes be used to promote the musical King Kong:
McGuire: "Get Adam Goodes down for it do you reckon?"
Darcy: "No I wouldn't have thought so, absolutely not."
McGuire: "You can see them doing that can't you?"
Darcy: "Who?"
McGuire: "Goodsey."
Darcy: "What's that?"
McGuire: "You know with the ape thing, the whole thing, I'm just saying the pumping him up and mucking around and all that sort of stuff."
not a very good look.....  |

in fact, i stopped listening to triple M a few weeks ago because of Molloy, and a friend of mine in Japan heard Eddie this morning (must listen over the web) and alerted me to it.

i reckon bertha would have been more apt to do what eddie suggested. i think if the spearchucker and bertha ever had children they'd look like king kong. am i allowed to say this?

Soon afterwards, McGuire returned to air to clarify his comments.
"Just to clear up when we were talking about King Kong there and I was mumbling my way through about Goodsey.
"I was trying to say imagine the old days of trying to get people in for publicity.
"I mumbled my way through that, so anyone who thought that I was having a go or being a smart alec, I take that back.
"Neither do I, I was that exhausted this morning, so apologies for that.
"I was off on a tangent somewhere. Just in case people think 'What the hell's he on about?', I've got no idea.

OH Dear, if eddie had half a brain, itd be lonely. Having said that, its just a foot n gob moment, and theres no way its racist.

IM so wary of racism now I don't think I can play chess for awhile, with black n white pieces , on a black n white board. ! If I checkmate the black King, is that virtual racism ?

I know it wasn't a racist remark but given the furore recently, it was at the very least a joke in bad taste. We live in much different times to when umpire Glen James could say he'd point the bone at a player if that player back chatted.
