Collingwood Tumble in Last Quarter - Crows Thrash Pies
Last night (21/2) at Football park Collingwood played Adelaide and unfortunatly for the Pies it didn't turn out well. It looked as though Buckley was going to have a good game with 10 possessions in the first quarter but quietened down as the game went on. Sav Rocca was the best contributer for Collingwood up forward with four goals his brother Anthony getting 2. The game was close all through until the last quarter when the Crows walked all over them. The final score was Adelaide 17-14, 116, Collingwood 9-8, 62.

Port Adelaide to Face the Magpies at Victoria Park - Round 1
Port Adelaide are to be thrown in at the deep end. Their first home and away game is to be against Collingwood at Victoria Park. It's not very fair to a new team to throw them into the most feared arena in the league for their initiation, but I'm sure that Collingwood will be gracious on the day and welcome the new boys with competition in the style to which they must become accustomed.

Thanks to tony mazzeo <magpie@ipax.com.au> for the info.

Osborne and Rocca simply the best:
In recruiting today Collingwood picked up two fine players one experienced and the other just 18 years of age. Rocca brother of Saverio said sorry to Sydney but he wanted to return home to Melbourne and play alongside his brother Sav. Osborne however is getting ready to step into his fourth club playing first with Fitzroy, and then with Sydney, then with Footscray, and now he's in with the Magpies. This will help Collingwood up forward, having two skilled players up there. Anthony at centre half forward and Ossie in the forward pocket.

MCGUANE LEAVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS UNBELIEVABLE!:
In recruiting Carlton picked up one of Collingwoods favourite sons Mick McGuane.I also heard that he didn't get along with Nathan Buckley. He said it was one of the hardest decisions in his life. He also said he thinks the rivalry between Collingwood and Carlton is all in the past.

Kelly and Richardson have retired:
Craig (Ned) Kelly and Allan (Richo) Richarson retired after the match against Brisbane. They both were dedicated and always gave it their best shot, they were two defenders of the finest quality. Collingwood won easily over Brisbane without the services of Buckley, Sav, or Monkey. They won in the end by 49 points.

Hale King Buckley:
Lots of people turned up for Copeland night ready to witness the Copeland voting. In the end Buckley came out on top.

The Draft:
Collingwood in the AFL draft picked up 8 players, the second highest number of players behind Melbourne with 9 The names of the players are Brent Tuckey (Ballarat Rebels), Marty Warry (Fitzroy), Brad Cassidy (Fitzroy), Marcus Barham (Calder Cannons), Josh Mahoney (Williamstown), Brad Fuller (Southern Districts ACT), Dwayne Griffen (Swan Districts) and Leigh Singline (South Launceston).
